The organization Atba'a Issa al-Masih (Followers of Jesus the Messiah) seeks to share the truths of Christianity, especially the love of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Injil (Gospel) with Muslims, to promote dialogue that is not based on misconceptions of either faith. Its members strive to correct common Muslim misconceptions about Christianity and encourage Christians to try to better understand Muslims and the religion of Islam. Atba'a Issa al-Masih also addresses wrong beliefs and attitudes that Christians may have about Muslims and the religion of Islam. |
The Scriptures (The Bible – Old and New Testaments) are the divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God and the sole authority for our faith, worship and conduct. The Bible is the last and final revelation that God has given to mankind. In the Bible God has given us all we need to know about how to live and what to believe.
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate (God who took on human form), was born of the virgin Mary and died for our sins. He was buried, rose again and ascended back into Heaven. Personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior is the essential and only way by which we can receive forgiveness of sin and be granted the gift of eternal life and entrance into paradise. The Holy Spirit, co-equal with the Father and Son indwells every believer. Forgiveness of sin and entrance into paradise is a gift of God’s love and grace and is not a reward for good works.
There is one Church, which is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers (all those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord), of which Christ is the sole head.
A local church is a fellowship of Christians where God’s people may find rest, help and encouragement. It is a lighthouse to help those who are lost find forgiveness for their sins and the gift of eternal life through faith in Christ.
The Lord Jesus Christ will return for His Church, which will be caught up in the clouds to meet Him in the air, after which Christ return again to the earth with His Church to establish His worldwide Kingdom.
