God is the sovereign, all-powerful Creator and yet He is also our good, loving heavenly Father. We can have more than a Master-slave relationship with God. We can love Him as well as fear Him. Christianity teaches that God loves us and that He is our heavenly Father who cares for us and desires to be close to us. Through faith in Christ as your Savior you can come to know God as your loving heavenly Father. Your heavenly Father can fill your life with His love, peace and joy.
Through an understanding of the Bible many have come to know God in a personal way in their everyday lives through faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This is why He came into the world--to save us from our sin and bring us into the family of God.
We cannot earn our way to paradise by doing good works. Our good works can never outweigh our bad works in order to meet the standards of a holy God. We need Christ who has done all that God requires for us to go to paradise. Christianity teaches that to go to paradise we must have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins.
Based on God's promises, as Christians we know for sure that after we die we will go immediately to paradise or heaven. God has promised this to all who receive Christ as their Savior and God cannot lie.
